East Timor Legal News 11 Nov 2011 Source: Independente 4 November 2011 - The Timorese Defence Force (F-FDTL) Maritime Force has officially handed over an illegal ship named KM Jaya Samudra from Indonesia.
The ship was captured by F-FDTL's Maritime Force when it was doing illegal fishing in the Timor Sea.
"Today we are all together here in the ceremony of handing over the ship to the Customs Department which is representing the Government on how the Government can process the ship based on its competence," Deputy F-FDTL Commander, Brigadier General Filomeno Paixao said.
The state will never tolerate other people to do illegal fishing and seal the country's wealth in the Timor Sea, he said.
