Indonesia deploys five battalions at border
Source: Suara Timor Loro Sae, March 7, 2012 language source: Tetun - The Indonesian Government has deployed five battalions of its military force soldiers to strengthen the security at the land border with Timor-Leste and Indonesia.
Police Operational Commander, Armando Monteiro said that the Kupang local Government had deployed five battalions at the border to strengthen the security in the run up of the Timorese presidential elections.
Monteiro confirmed that if Timor-Leste wanted to hold political campaigns in Oe-Cusse district going through the land border should be coordinated well with them [Indonesian Military Force].
