MPs of the third legislative mandate should pay attention on expired laws

Radio Timor-Leste, May 31, 2012 language source: Tetun - Secretary of the National Parliament Maria Exposto suggested that the new MPs from the third legislative mandate should prioritise proposed laws not yet enacted.

“We the old Parliamentarians recommend to the new parliamentarians that they have to initiate their work to pay attention to those laws and those laws that we recommend to be approved,” MP Exposto said

The laws which have been proposed but not yet enacted are law for landlords, the law for victim reparations, the pension law, the protocol law and others.

MP Exposto affirmed the parliamentarians were now busy with their political activities and frequently absent from the National Parliament and that effected the discussion of Parliament on those pending laws.
