More violence as one woman injured, cars stoned and roads blocked in Baucau

East Timor Legal News 19 July 2012 Source:  Radio Timor-Leste, July 19, 2012 language source: Tetun - Baucau District police have reported that one women sustained minor injuries and two cars were damaged in the District capital of Baucau.

Baucau Police Commander Joao Baptista said the incident happened on Monday night when the two cars were stoned by unknown people. The commander explained that one of the passengers of the cars was injured because of the incident.

Batista said after the incident the police were sent to the crime scene to evacuate the victim for medical treatment.

In the village of Ualili, group of people blocked the roads using cut-down trees, but the police removed them and the road is now passable.
