Gun shots heard in Baucau

Independente, June 6, 2012 language source: Tetun - The Timorese Police Commander Longuinhos Monteiro has confirmed that the recent sounds similar to gun shots heard in Baucau District were actually 8 bullets exploded by an unknown person and were not shot from a weapon.

“In Baucau, a man, I do not want to mention his name, found the bullets that belonged to the Australian force. He exploded the eight bullets and then ran away but the police then detained him last night,” Monteiro said.
