Certain citizens of Australia
This petition of certain citizens of Australia draws to the attention of the House the absence of an internationally recognised border between Australia and Timor-Leste.
Petition Request
We therefore ask the House to take all appropriate measures to assist the Government to finalise as soon as possible a fair and permanent maritime boundary between Australia and Timor-Leste, using median line principles, in accordance with current international law. We ask that this be done in good faith and as a matter of urgency.

The UNGOOD NEWS is that we have received only 4,862 signatures to date. This is not as many as hoped for, so we do ask that you really push this online version, and continue to gather signatures on paper.
Mr Tony Burke MP will be presenting the Petition in Parliament, on a date to be advised.
