Reunião Trilateral Fórum: ISF, F-FDTL, UNPOL/PNTL

Díli. 5 de Fevereiro de 2009 - Na sequência da reunião do Fórum Trilateral (entre: Governo de Timor-Leste, ISF, F-FDTL, PNTL e UNPOL).Que avalia as ameaças com que se depara a Segurança Nacional, o Vice PM José Luís Guterres, em declaração à imprensa, avaliou positivamente o estado da Segurança Nacional.

Na mesma ocasião, o Fórum Trilateral analisou o sistema de segurança do aeroporto Internacional Presidente Nicolau Lobato, no que diz respeito ao tráfego das aeronaves e às condições de segurança do aeroporto em geral. Esta questão tinha sido levantada pela ISF na última reunião. Em Conferência de Imprensa, o VPM José Luís Guterres realçou “a importância da segurança no aeroporto internacional e a necessidade de se criarem as melhores condições para atrair a entrada dos turistas no país”.

Entre as políticas do IV Governo Constitucional para atrair receitas, além de sector petrolífero, está a aposta no sector turismo e entre outros.

Os dados relativos ao sector de turismo, uma das apostas do Governo para equilíbrio das receitas de contas do estado, apontam, segundo a Direcção Nacional de Turismo (DNT), para um total de 69,671 visitas a Timor-Leste no ano de 2008 e, um total de receitas de $21,667,711 para os cofres do estado.

Na conferência de imprensa o Vice PM José Luís Guterres referiu o destaque conferido no programa do IV Governo Constitucional, à ”construção de infra-estruturas, tais como o aeroporto, o porto e as estradas. O Vice PM Continuou, relembrando que o Governo “ declarou o ano 2009 como ano das Infra-estruturas”: - o desenvolvimento e melhoria das infra-estruturas contribuem directamente para a criação de emprego, aumento do bem-estar das populações e redução da taxa de pobreza. José Luís Guterres salientou também que “outra das apostas do IV Governo Constitucional é levar a electricidade até aos sub distritos. Com electricidade para todo a população, aumenta-se o bem-estar da população e contribui-se para o desenvolvimento”.

No âmbito da reunião Trilateral Fórum também se analisou a operação conjunta entre UNPOL, PNTL, F-FDTL e ISF, a qual foi avaliada muito positivamente. A cooperação entre as Forças Internacionais e Nacionais é um exemplo. A assim possam, no futuro, as nossas Forças de Segurança e Defesa assumir as suas responsabilidades, para garantir a soberania nacional e estabilidade nacional, com igual sucesso.

Estiveram presentes no Fórum Trilateral, em representação do Governo: o Vice PM, José Luís Guterres; o Secretario de Estado da Defesa, Júlio Tomas Pinto; o Secretario de Estado da segurança, Francisco Guterres; o Chefe de Estado Maior Geral das F-FDTL, Brigadeiro General Taur Matan Ruak e; o 2º Comandante Operacional de PNTL, Mateus Fernandes.
