ETLJB 17/06/2014 - The V Constitutional Government met on Tuesday 27 May 2014, at the Council of Ministers meeting room, at the Government Palace, in Díli, and approved:
1. Decree approving the Workforce of the Career of the Prosecutor's Services
- The Decree of the Government that the Council of Ministers approved today aims to update the workforce of the career of the Prosecutor's Service, where the numbers for each category of career personnel are defined as provided for in the Statute of the Prosecution Services.
This legislation contributes to a better framework of the competences of the Prosecution Service, reinforces the principle of hierarchy within the organization and encourages the improvement of the quality of their servers. All this translates into improved delivery of justice, under the responsibility of the prosecution services, and an improved access to law and justice by Timorese citizens.
The Council of Ministers also analysed:
1. Decree Law that creates the National Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Timor-Leste
The Council of Ministers analysed the presentation of the Decree-Law, by the Ministry of Education on the establishment of the National Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Timor-Leste, postponing the approval for another meeting.
