29/05/2012 ABC Radio Australia New Helene Hofman, Dili- East Timor's opposition the National Unity Party (PUN) has unveiled its candidates for July's general election.
The party has for the first time included a proposed cabinet.
At a rally at the PUN headquarters in Dili, the party's president Fernanda Borges confirmed she will be running for the post of prime minister, taking on the incumbent Xanana Gusmao.
Ms Borges has also presented a proposed cabinet that she says will work to defend national interest and democracy.
The seven suggested ministers have strong backgrounds in international aid and development, and four have studied at Australian universities.
East Timor's general election will be held in July.
