Radio Timor-Leste, May language source: Tetun - National Police Operational Commander Armando Monteiro said there were more than 80 students being detained in the police detention center for investigation purposes.
According to the law, those students should serve 72 hours of provisional detention before presenting them to the Public Prosecution, Monteiro said. He affirmed that, the police was responsible for providing them food, but unfortunately they had limited budget to continue feeding them; therefore he called on the families to provide the detainees food.
