President Taur Matan Ruak presides over Superior Council for Defence and Security Meeting

ETLJB 03 November 2012 - The President of the Republic, Taur Matan Ruak, presided over the meeting of the Superior Council for Defence and Security on 29 October 2012. The meeting focussed on the general condition of the country.

After the meeting at the Presidential Palace in Aitarak-Laran, Dili, the Prime Minister, Xanana Gusmao, reported that the President informed the meeting that, in general, the conditions in the country were going well although there are still some minor problems occurring in some places.

The meeting was attended by the Defence Force of Timor-Leste (F-FDTL) Commander, Lere Anan Timur, National Police of Timor-Leste (PNTL) Commander, Longuinhos Monteiro, President of the National Parliament, Vicente Guterres, Secretary of State for Defence, Julio Tomas Pinto, Secretary of State for Security, Francisco da Costa Guterres, and other entities.
