Council of Ministers approves law for criminal investigation police recruitment

Suara Timor Loro Sa'e, January 12, 2011 language source: Tetun - Minister for Justice Lucia Lobato said the Council of Ministers has approved a law to help facilitate the recruitment process for the Criminal Investigation Police Service (SIC).

On the bases of this, the Council of Ministers will open 50 vacancies for Criminal Police Investigation Service after approval of the law.

Twenty of the SIC will come from the Timorese National Police (PNTL) itself and another 30 will be new recruits. The training for SIC will be based on a special agreement with thePortuguese Government.
