Majority of the ASEAN members support Timor-Leste: Foreign Minister da Costa

Radio Timor-Leste, January 16, 2011 language source: Tetun - Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Zacarias Albano da Costa said the majority of ASEAN members supported Timor-Leste becoming a member of ASEAN soon.

The minister believes that Timor-Leste will give its contribution to security, economy and culture in the region when entering ASEAN.

Da Costa added that Timor-Leste will get a great opportunity to join ASEAN when Indonesia starts to lead the Secretariat of ASEAN this year.
