Police deport eight prostitutes to Indonesia

Diario Nacional, January 17, 2011 language source: Tetun - The Timorese National Police (PNTL) has deported eight Indonesian women, believed to have been engaged in prostitution in TimorLeste.

These Indonesian nationals were captured during joint operations which were held by the Criminal Police Unit and the Immigration Police at the bars and hotels in the Capital of Dili.

Apart from capturing eight Indonesians, the police also arrested six Chinese women and two men. A police officer, Luis Soares Barreto said those foreigners were arrested on January 17, 2011, as they misused their visa.
