Source: Radio Timor-Leste, March 21, 2012 language source: Tetun - The National Election Commission (CNE) is planning to hand over the result of the presidential election to the Court of Appeals for the final decision, CNE President Faustino Cardoso said.
CNE is currently doing national tabulation for all the ballot papers from the 13 districts and will complete this on Wednesday (21/3), he said.
“According to the law, national tabulation will take 72 hours or within three days. In the counting process, CNE will verify the result of tabulation from the districts,” he said.
The provisional result shows that, Presidential Candidate, Francisco “Lu-Olo” Guterres is leading the election with more than 28% and Matan Ruak in the second place with more than 25%.
