The rumors have been widespread in Indonesia, saying violence might break out in the fledging nation’s upcoming presidential election.
“No, I think preparations for the elections are going well and nothing to be much worried about,” he said. He said the upcoming presidential elections in Timor-Leste would be successful and they had never thought there would be violence.
TNI Commander for NTT [Kupang], Edison Napitupulu said Indonesian National Army (TNI) had strengthened the security at the border, especially in the run up of the presidential election.
