Dili, 13 Jun (Lusa) - East Timorese Minister of Justice said today that the law against abortion has to be applied in the country where 'the people are religious and the Catholic Church has great influence, perhaps more than the Government itself'.'The law is to be applied in East Timor, which has a religious people and the Catholic Church much influence, perhaps more than the Government itself,' said Lucia Lobato to the Lusa Agency.

Díli, 13 Jun (Lusa) -- A ministra de Justiça timorense garantiu hoje que a legislação contra o aborto tem de ser aplicada no país, onde "o povo é religioso e a Igreja Católica tem muita influência, talvez mais do que o próprio Governo".
"A lei é para ser aplicada em Timor-Leste, que tem um povo religioso e a Igreja Católica muita influência, talvez mais do que o próprio Governo", declarou Lúcia Lobato à Agência Lusa.
