Independente, March 9, 2012 language source: Tetun - The Timorese National Police (PNTL) Commander Commissioner Longuinhos Monteiro said the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) has already completed the investigation into a murder case in Komoro and would submit the case to the Public Prosecution.
“We will take this case to the Public Prosecution, so that they can give authorisation for further legal proceedings,” Monteiro said. Monteiro said they were making efforts to ensure the security in the country but unfortunately murder continued to happen and therefore he regretted it. He added that, the recent murder case would not impact the security situation in the country during the general elections because the police would continue to carry out their work effectively based on the existing law to guarantee people’s safety.
