Council of Ministers meeting on October 10, 2017
Presidency of the Council of Ministers
Seventh Constitutional Government
Meeting of the Council of Ministers of October 10th, 2017
The Government met on October 10th, at the Government Palace in Dili, to analyse the strategy to disseminate the Program, while at the same time the Minister in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Adriano do Nascimento, delivered the document to the National Parliament.
The members of the Government analysed the communication plan to inform the entire population, especially in the most remote areas, of the content of the document containing the Government's objectives for the next five years of governance.
The Program converges the commitments of the parties, based on the Strategic Development Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals, providing consistency and a new dynamic to these two major guides, and, above all, to the Nation. The major concern of the Seventh Constitutional Government is to carry out spending in a more efficient and effective way, within the country building process, so that it is possible to provide all Timorese with their long desired opportunities, in a more inclusive, just and prosperous Timor-Leste.
The Minister of Planning and Finance, Rui Gomes, presented the work that is being developed to prepare the State Rectification Budget, with the necessary adjustments to accommodate the new Government structure and to evaluate assumed commitments, while also ensuring the fulfilment of the Executive’s objective of containing expenses.
