O Partido FRETILIN considera as declarações do Primeiro Ministro de facto, uma ameaça intencional para intimidar o povo Maubere. Perante esta ameaça, o Partido FRETILIN faz um veemente apelo ao povo Maubere,

1. Pedimos a todo o povo Maubere e, em especial, aos militantes e simpatizantes da FRETILIN para não se deixarem intimidar com as declarações do Primeiro Ministro de facto, porque a FRETILIN não se deixa amedrontar facilmente e nunca teve medo de ninguém, tem apenas o dever de respeitar a Constituição e as leis em vigor no nosso país. A FRETILIN está convicta de que o direito de organizar a marcha da paz ou qualquer outro tipo de manifestação está consagrado na Constituição da RDTL.

2. O Partido FRETILIN quer reafirmar que a marcha da paz, já decidida pelo Comité da Central da FRETILIN, irá avante e a população em geral será, previamente informada, incluindo as autoridades de segurança da PNTL.

3. O Partido FRETILIN vai organizar esta marcha da paz obedecendo ás leis vigentes em Timor-Leste e não usará a violência que foi utilizada por algumas pessoas durante a crise de 2006.

4. O Partido FRETILIN vai trabalhar em conjunto com as Forças de Segurança da PNTL para que durante a marcha da paz, seja garantida a segurança.

Por último, a posição do Partido FRETILIN em relação ás declarações do Primeiro Ministro de facto são:

1. O Partido FRETILIN não reconhece a legitimidade deste governo e designa-o apenas como governo de facto;

2. O Partido FRETILIN não acredita que o Primeiro Ministro de facto venha a dar ordens para prender pessoas porque só os tribunais e os juízes, podem dar ordens de detenção.

3. O Partido FRETILIN não se intimida pelo facto de o Primeiro Ministro de facto querer ser ditador – as experiências à nível mundial já mostraram que os ditadores não são intocáveis e também podem cair do "poleiro" sem menos esperarem e devem assumir responsabilidades pelos seus actos durante a sua governação.

4. O Partido FRETILIN declara que qualquer ordem de detenção que o Primeiro Ministro de facto venha a dar contra qualquer cidadão - não está contemplado nas leis vigentes em Timor-Leste e terá, em última análise, consequências contra si próprio e contra os que implementarem ESSA ordem. Não se deve esquecer que este acto é uma violação contra os direitos humanos, contra a Constituição da RDTL e contra as leis vigentes na nossa Nação.
