“The Australian Minister for Natural Resources sent a letter to us and the content of the letter can be considered as a threat; I have instructed our Secretary of State for Natural Resources to reply that who is afraid of whom,” said Gusmao during a consultation meeting with local people in Lospalos, Lautem.

According to Gusmao, the pipeline from Bayu Undan has been taken to Australia and therefore the pipeline from the Greater Sunrise should be taken to Timor-Leste.

“We know that Bayu Undan’s pipelines have been taken to Australian and therefore the pipelines from the Greater Sunrise should be taken to Timor-Leste,” he added.

“The Indonesian Foreign Affairs Alli Alatas signed an agreement with the Australian Government in an airplane, but it is our right now.” PM Gusmao said.

He also called on all people to give hands and struggle with the Woodside company so that they can install the pipeline to the country.

“We all should together and have one opinion in order to bring the pipeline og the Greater Sunrise to the country.
